Real estate body seeks review of Ramsar site planning freeze
The Chennai chapter of CREDAI has requested a review of the planning freeze imposed around the Pallikaranai Ramsar Site. They argue that the current one-kilometer influence zone needs scientific delineation and that the restrictions have impacted over one lakh patta holders. CREDAI estimates the business activity affected by these curbs to be worth more than ₹51,700 crore, potentially hindering growth in South Chennai.
