Delhi Ridge to be Rejuvenated with Saplings and Legal Protection
Union Home Minister Amit Shah announced a plan to rejuvenate 6,300 hectares of the Delhi Ridge over four years, aiming to develop it as the city's lungs by planting over one crore saplings. The initiative includes removing invasive species and restoring the Ridge's original forest cover. However, the Congress has raised concerns regarding the transplantation of 1,049 trees and the felling of 42 others.
