EPFO to credit FY26 PF interest by July 15 on new platform
The Employees' Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) aims to credit the financial year 2026 interest to 34 crore accounts by July 15. Labour Minister Mandaviya stated that a new centralized IT platform, CITES, will expedite the process of interest crediting, claims, and account services. Approximately ₹1.44 trillion in interest is expected to be credited at a rate of 8.25%. While the new system is intended to speed up withdrawals, some claims may still be rejected due to incomplete or incorrect information, with reports indicating a rejection rate of one in five claims previously.
