Four states resolve decades-old Narmada water dispute
A decades-old dispute concerning the Narmada river water sharing and the Sardar Sarovar project has been resolved between Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Rajasthan, and Maharashtra. Union Home Minister Amit Shah was present for the agreement. The resolution involves Madhya Pradesh paying ₹550 crore to Gujarat and Maharashtra receiving 10 TMC of water. The dispute had been pending for 30 years.
