IMF Appoints New Chief Economist, Silvana Tenreyro
The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has appointed Silvana Tenreyro as its new Chief Economist and Director of the Research Department. Tenreyro, a former policymaker at the Bank of England and a professor at the London School of Economics, will assume her new role on August 10, succeeding Pierre-Olivier Gourinchas.
