Man arrested in UP for child sexual abuse material and deepfakes
Police in Etah, Uttar Pradesh, arrested a man for allegedly sexually abusing a five-year-old child and possessing child sexual abuse material. The arrest followed an alert from Google, which detected suspicious activity on the accused's devices. Investigations revealed the accused had allegedly created and stored morphed videos and photos of women and girls, including a doctored video of the victim, on his phone and Google Drive. Authorities found a large number of alleged objectionable files and are investigating potential links to a larger network. Charges include violations under the POCSO Act, BNS, and IT Act.
