Cred Founder Kunal Shah Appointed WhatsApp Global Head by Meta
Meta has appointed Kunal Shah, founder of Indian fintech startup Cred, as the new global head of WhatsApp. As part of this transition, Meta will invest $900 million (approximately ₹8,550 crore) in Cred. Shah will step down from his role at Cred, with Miten Sampat taking over as interim CEO, while Shah moves to lead WhatsApp, succeeding Will Cathcart.
