Heavy Rains Cause Widespread Disruption Across North India
Heavy rainfall has caused significant disruptions across parts of North India, particularly in Delhi-NCR and Belagavi. In Delhi-NCR, waterlogging has led to traffic jams, delayed trains, and affected flight operations, with advisories issued by airlines. Several areas experienced power outages, and a district magistrate's office in Ghaziabad reportedly became waterlogged. In Belagavi, river levels rose due to heavy rains, submerging 11 bridges. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) issued a red alert for Delhi and surrounding areas, forecasting continued rain.
