Cloudbursts Cause Flooding in Pahalgam, Landslides in Other Regions
Intense rainfall, described by officials as possibly localized cloudbursts, has led to flash floods in Pahalgam, South Kashmir, inundating hotels and houses. While no casualties were reported in Pahalgam, heavy rains also triggered landslides in other parts of India, including Shimla and Palghar, causing disruptions and warnings to residents and tourists.
