EPFO launches six-month amnesty scheme for exempted PF trusts

The Employees' Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) has launched a one-time, six-month amnesty scheme, effective from 2026. This scheme allows exempted Provident Fund (PF) trusts to regularize their compliance status under the EPF Act. Employers can obtain retrospective exemption and resolve pending issues, potentially offering relief from litigation. The scheme was announced via a statement from the Ministry of Labour and Employment.
