CBSE mandates third language for Class 9 from 2026-27

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced a new policy requiring students in Class 9 to study a third language starting from the 2026-27 academic session. The policy specifies that two of these languages must be Indian. Exemptions are provided for students with disabilities, foreign nationals, and those who have migrated.
