Kerala High Court Restrains Waqf Board Over Non-Muslim Member Absence
The Kerala High Court has temporarily stopped the State Waqf Board from making significant decisions, incurring capital expenditure, or enacting policies. This action was taken after the court found, prima facie, that the Board might not have been constituted according to legal requirements, specifically concerning the absence of non-Muslim members. The Waqf Board has since appealed this order to the Supreme Court.
