Flash floods hit Jammu and Kashmir, causing deaths and damage
Heavy rainfall has caused flash floods and landslides in Jammu and Kashmir's Poonch, Rajouri, and Kishtwar districts, leading to an estimated 10-11 deaths and damage to houses and public property. Authorities have initiated relief efforts, and the Amarnath Yatra has been temporarily suspended due to the weather warning. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast continued rainfall in parts of northwest, east, and northeast India.
