Odisha government moves to reclaim temple land across multiple states

The Odisha government has announced plans to recover over 60,000 acres of land associated with the Jagannath Temple. The initiative aims to recover approximately 400 acres located outside the state in West Bengal, Maharashtra, and Madhya Pradesh, with an overall target of reclaiming 60,426 acres. The government also anticipates generating ₹10,000 crore from the temple's corpus as part of this effort.
