US Judge Allows Meta to Proceed with AI-Selected Layoffs
A US judge has ruled that Meta Platforms can proceed with job cuts affecting approximately 8,000 employees. The decision came despite a lawsuit filed by employees alleging discrimination through the use of AI in selecting who would be laid off. The judge rejected a bid to halt the layoffs.
