Tanzanian-Flagged Tanker Hijacked by Somali Pirates Off Yemen Coast
A Tanzanian-flagged tanker, the MT Asana, was allegedly hijacked by seven armed Somali pirates off the coast of Yemen. The vessel was reportedly taken to the Puntland region of Somalia after the incident. A distress alert was also sent from the ship during the hijacking.
