ADR Report: Criminal Cases and Wealth of Rajya Sabha MPs
An analysis by the Association for Democratic Reforms (ADR) and National Election Watch (NEW) has revealed that 31% of current Rajya Sabha Members of Parliament (MPs) have declared criminal cases against them. The report further indicates that 16% of these sitting MPs face serious criminal charges. Additionally, the analysis found that 14% of Rajya Sabha MPs are billionaires, with 226 MPs collectively possessing assets worth ₹26,047 crore.
