Heavy Rains Cause Floods, Cloudbursts, and Fatalities Across India

Heavy rainfall has triggered severe floods and cloudbursts across multiple Indian states, resulting in significant loss of life and widespread damage. In Assam, floods have claimed 61 lives and affected over 7 lakh people, with relief efforts struggling to reach many. Gujarat reported over 38,000 evacuations and 5,500 rescues due to heavy rains. Jammu and Kashmir experienced cloudbursts and landslides, leading to at least 12 deaths and numerous missing persons, while Himachal Pradesh faced similar cloudbursts causing destruction to agricultural land and crops. Nagaland reported 9 deaths due to rain-related incidents, with Mon being the worst-hit district.
