Himachal Pradesh on high alert amid heavy rain and orange alert
Himachal Pradesh is on high alert due to a red warning for heavy rainfall issued by the India Meteorological Department (IMD). Several districts, including Kangra, have been affected by fresh rains, leading to damage to homes and injuries. In response to the IMD's orange alert, Deputy Commissioners have been empowered to suspend school classes. The adverse weather has also triggered concerns about landslides and floods.
