West Bengal Mandates Bengali for Official Communications

West Bengal will make the Bengali language mandatory for all official communications starting September 1. Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari announced the decision, which applies to all state government work. The directive specifies that Bengali will be the required language for official correspondence from the aforementioned date.
