Workers Rescued After Sikkim Tunnel Landslide and Gas Leak

A landslide in an under-construction tunnel in Sikkim trapped approximately 27 workers. The incident occurred at the Samardung tunnel, part of the Teesta Stage VI Hydroelectric Project. A gas leak, identified as methane, complicated rescue efforts. Multiple agencies, including NDRF and SDRF, were involved in the operation. All trapped workers were eventually rescued.
