US soldiers killed in Jordan; US strikes Iran amid escalating tensions
Two U.S. soldiers, identified as 1st Lt. Tyler James Feehan from Hawaii and Pvt. Isabella Gonzales from Texas, were killed in Jordan while supporting a mission against the Islamic State. Following these deaths, the U.S. intensified air strikes on Iran, targeting critical sites. President Trump warned Iran that it would "pay many times over" for killing American soldiers. Reports also emerged of Iranian missile attacks damaging U.S. defense systems and of two oil tankers exploding in Hormuz. The Pentagon denied allegations of intentionally concealing war casualties.
