India's UPI system expands internationally, sees domestic growth
India's digital payment system, UPI, has seen significant growth over the past five years, with transactions surging. Concurrently, the system is expanding its reach globally, as 12 countries have adopted it. Discussions are underway with Spain to integrate UPI with their Bizum payment system, aiming to further boost digital payment interoperability.
