Multiple encounters across UP lead to arrests of criminals
Police in Uttar Pradesh conducted multiple encounters resulting in the arrest of several individuals. In Sonbhadra, two robbers from Madhya Pradesh were arrested after a shootout, with one sustaining a bullet injury to the leg. In Banda, an accused of attempting to assault a minor was shot in the leg during an encounter. Separately, in Chitrakoot, the main accused in a case of alleged gangrape of a NEET student was arrested after an encounter, with both the accused and a police constable injured. Other arrests were made in Chandauli, Kanpur, and Rania for charges including cattle theft, illegal arms possession, and assault.
