Voter list digitisation (SIR) progresses across Indian states
Multiple Indian states are advancing their Systematic Voter's List Revision (SIR) digitisation efforts. Visakhapatnam has completed digitisation for 20.23 lakh electors, with 2.40 lakh names flagged as absent, shifted, dead, or duplicated. Hyderabad's SIR 2026 drive has reduced Absent, Shifted, or Dead (ASD) electors to 2.60 lakh. In Delhi, digitisation has surpassed 6.6 million electors, covering over 45% of the total. Maharashtra has achieved 87.79% distribution and 60.44% digitisation of enumeration forms. Andhra Pradesh's SIR identified 7.37 lakh electors enrolled at multiple locations.
