Iran warns of expanded war if US attacks resume; US threatens retaliation
Iran's army spokesman warned that any resumption of US attacks, particularly air strikes, would lead to the geographical expansion of the war. Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi stated Iran would respond in kind to any attack on its infrastructure and that the country "fears no one." US President Donald Trump threatened to destroy an Iranian bridge or power plant for every Iranian attack on shipping in the Strait of Hormuz. The US military also disabled two tankers accused of breaking an Iran blockade, releasing footage of forces boarding one.
