Two detained in Goa for supporting jailed activist Umar Khalid

Two youths were detained in Panaji, Goa, for displaying support for jailed activist Umar Khalid during a protest. The detentions occurred amidst a paper leak protest. Following the detentions, a group marched to the Police Headquarters demanding the release of the detained individuals. In a separate incident in Bengaluru, a woman was booked for holding a poster supporting Umar Khalid and Sharjeel Imam during a youth protest. Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant has backed the police action in Panaji.
