CBI chargesheets 13 in NEET-UG paper leak; Parliament debates anti-leak bill

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has filed a chargesheet against 13 individuals in connection with the 2026 NEET-UG examination paper leak case. The NEET-UG exam was previously cancelled, with a re-examination held on June 21. Meanwhile, in Parliament, the government introduced a bill to amend the anti-paper leak law, proposing stricter punishments including up to 10 years in jail and a Rs 50 lakh fine. The introduction of this bill followed a parliamentary stalemate over the paper leak issue.
