Kerala Police Register Case Against Media Outlets Over Fake News

Kerala police have registered a case against six media organizations following a complaint by CPI(M) leader P.K. Sreemathi. The complaint alleges that the outlets circulated fake news regarding her pension. The accused organizations include Janam TV, Karma News, Daily Hunt, Bharat Live, Janmabhumi daily, and Sudhinam. Sreemathi, a former Kerala minister, described the allegations as a "filthy smear campaign" and stated her intention to pursue legal action.
