Hyderabad Police Warn of Cyber Frauds Linked to Housing Scheme
Hyderabad Police Commissioner VC Sajjanar has warned citizens about cyber fraud attempts related to the Indiramma Housing Scheme. Police are also defending random phone searches, stating they are a measure to prevent cyber fraud. Separately, data presented in the Rajya Sabha indicates that cyber fraud cases in India have nearly tripled between 2020 and 2024. Telangana has recorded the highest number of cyber fraud cases.
