Student organizations called for a Bihar Bandh on Monday, leading to protests and violence in various districts. Police arrested 19 individuals, including a CPI-ML MLA, and Tej Pratap Yadav was sent to 14-day judicial custody for alleged involvement in violence during the bandh. In Jehanabad, police reportedly fired shots, and in Muzaffarpur, rewards were announced for protesters. The bandh was supported by RJD, Congress, VIP, and Left parties. Separately, Prashant Kishor claimed Tej Pratap Yadav's arrest was due to his support for the Jan Suraaj Party.
