Kerala Minister Warns KSRTC Staff Over Free Tickets; Other State News
Kerala Transport Minister C.P. John warned KSRTC staff that action would be taken if free tickets were issued to men on Priyadarshini buses. He also stated that KSRTC plans to hire private buses during festival seasons due to an outdated fleet, as no new buses have been purchased in 10 years. Separately, the Madras High Court requested an interim report from the Tamil Nadu government regarding a paid menstrual leave policy. The Supreme Court issued notice on a plea by Union Minister Suresh Gopi against a Kerala High Court decision. Bengaluru is set to face a 15-hour water supply disruption on July 31.
