Siddaramaiah to retire from Karnataka electoral politics in 2028
Former Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah announced he will not contest the 2028 state assembly elections. He cited his age, declining health, and a perceived increase in corruption within politics as reasons for his decision. Siddaramaiah stated he will continue to be active in public life and support the Congress party. The announcement was made in Mandya.
