Kargil Martyr's Family Still Waiting for Promises Made 26 Years Ago
The family of a Kargil martyr, who died in 1999, is still awaiting promises made 26 years ago. The martyr's son, Vijay Kumar, was killed in action during the Kargil conflict. His family has been demanding compensation and recognition for his sacrifice. In 2015, the Indian government had promised to provide a pension to the families of martyrs, but so far, no payment has been made. The family is now seeking answers from the government on when they will receive their due.
