CAG flags non-functional oxygen plants in Bengal hospitals

The Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) has reported that over half of the PM CARES-funded oxygen plants in West Bengal hospitals were non-functional during the COVID-19 pandemic. The audit also noted that ventilators in these hospitals remained idle. The report highlights issues with the operational status of critical medical infrastructure provided under the PM CARES Fund.
