Finance Minister Urges Tax Department to Prioritize Common People
Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman directed the Income Tax department to work for the benefit of common people, stating that it is their job to take care of assets when they are encroached. She also criticized the 'laidback' nature of government offices and urged the I-T department to prioritize citizen needs. The Finance Minister spoke at the NDTV Business Leadership Awards 2026.
