Kerala CM Pinarayi Vijayan questioned by ED over Kartha case

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has summoned Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan for questioning in connection with the CMRL-Exalogic case, which involves allegations against Congress leader Shashi Thirumurthy's son-in-law, Karthikeya Gopalakrishnan. The ED claims that Vijayan had ties to Veena George, who is accused of embezzlement and money laundering. The summons comes after the ED received a statement from Kartha, who allegedly implicated Vijayan in his case. The ED has also cited an ex-MD of CMRL-Exalogic as stating that Veena had ties to then Kerala Chief Minister Oommen Chandy for payments.
