Monsoon Intensifies Across India with Heavy Rainfall Warnings
A depression in the Bay of Bengal has intensified, leading to a revival of monsoon activity across India. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued warnings of extremely heavy rainfall in several regions. Heavy rains have already battered Himachal Pradesh, causing 134 road closures. Alerts have been issued for multiple districts in Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, and other states, with some forecasts predicting heavy showers in up to 19 districts. The weather system is also expected to bring strong winds and affect neighboring Pakistan.
