Mirabai Chanu wins third consecutive Commonwealth Games gold
Indian weightlifter Mirabai Chanu secured her third consecutive Commonwealth Games gold medal in the women's 48kg category. She achieved a record total lift of 190kg at the Glasgow Commonwealth Games. Chanu's victory marks India's first gold medal of the event. Another Indian athlete, Sarvesh Kushare, won a silver medal in high jump.
