Karnataka BJP Leader CT Ravi Refuses Police Notice; HC Grants Protection
Karnataka BJP MLC C.T. Ravi refused to accept a police notice related to an FIR, leading police to paste it outside his residence. The Karnataka High Court subsequently granted him interim protection from arrest in connection with a hate speech FIR. Separately, the Cauvery Water Regulation Committee (CWRC) directed Karnataka to release 3,500 cusecs of water to Tamil Nadu, a decision the Karnataka government stated it would challenge. In another legal development, the Calcutta High Court granted interim protection to TMC MP Abhishek Banerjee in three FIRs.
