Nepal submits proposal to use National Identity Card for travel verification

Nepal has submitted a proposal to India to use its National Identity Card for travel verification. The proposal was made by Nepal's Foreign Minister, Pradeep Gyani, during his visit to India last week. He claimed that the card would help streamline visa processing and reduce wait times. The Indian government said it is considering the proposal and will assess its feasibility. The Nepalese government has also stated that the card would be a significant step towards strengthening bilateral ties between the two countries.
