Court Cancels Arrest Warrants Against SFI Leader Aishe Ghosh
A Delhi court on Tuesday cancelled non-bailable arrest warrants against SFI leader Aishe Ghosh in connection with a 2021 protest case. The warrants were issued after Ghosh allegedly failed to appear in court for proceedings related to a case filed after a protest in 2021. The Delhi Police had attempted to detain Ghosh at the CPI(M) office in Delhi, an action described by CPM leaders as an assault on democratic norms and an intrusion. Ghosh's legal team stated the warrants were cancelled after she appeared in court.
