Government Proposes Changes to PUC Certificate Validity
The Indian government is preparing to make significant changes to the validity period of Pollution Under Control (PUC) certificates for vehicles. Draft proposals suggest that vehicle owners may no longer need to obtain a PUC certificate annually. Instead, the certificate could be valid for up to three years. The government has invited suggestions from the public on these proposed changes.
