Pakistan Defence Minister Defends PoK Violence, Calls Protesters 'Enemies'
Pakistan's Defence Minister Khawaja Asif defended the killing of over 40 protesters in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) during recent demonstrations, referring to the protesters as "enemies like India." Reports indicate that over 80 people have died since protests began on June 5, following violence related to PoK elections. India condemned the crackdown and reiterated its position on Jammu and Kashmir. In Lahore, police detained several protesters demonstrating in solidarity with PoK. Separately, 50 UK MPs wrote to their Foreign Secretary regarding the violence in PoK.
