Heavy rains cause waterlogging and traffic jams in multiple Indian cities

Heavy rainfall has led to significant waterlogging and traffic disruptions in Delhi and Hyderabad. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) issued a red alert for Delhi, warning of severe weather. In response to the downpour, Delhi received 136 complaints regarding waterlogging, tree falls, and power outages. Meanwhile, schools in Wayanad, Kerala, were closed on July 30 due to an orange alert. A deep depression is also predicted to bring extremely heavy rainfall to central and western India, with Ahmedabad under a red alert.
