Venezuela Earthquakes Shift Ground, Satellite Data Reveals

Two powerful earthquakes struck northern Venezuela on June 24, with magnitudes of 7.2 and 7.5. Subsequent analysis of data from the NISAR satellite, a joint ISRO-NASA project, revealed that the ground shifted by approximately 60 centimeters (about 2 feet). The earthquakes resulted in over 5,000 fatalities and injured approximately 16,700 people.
