HUL Q1 Earnings Drop Amid Revenue Growth and Margin Squeeze

Fast-moving consumer goods company Hindustan Unilever Limited (HUL) reported a 3% decline in its net profit for the first quarter of FY27, falling to ₹2,673 crore. Despite this, the company achieved its highest revenue growth in 13 quarters, expanding by 10%. Management cited stable underlying demand but acknowledged that geopolitical issues, including the West Asia conflict and commodity price spikes, are squeezing profit margins. HUL has implemented a 5% price increase and indicated further hikes may be necessary due to persistent inflation.
