Madhya Pradesh Farmers Protest Over Moong Procurement; Government Raises Limit

Farmers in Madhya Pradesh protested against the government's moong procurement policy, demanding 100% purchase at Minimum Support Price (MSP). Approximately 2000 farmers marched to Bhopal. In response to the protests, the Madhya Pradesh government increased the procurement limit for moong from the previous unspecified percentage to 60% and suspended the e-token system for fertiliser distribution. The farmers' strike was subsequently called off following these concessions.
