Bangladesh Law Minister Says Hasina Faces Arrest on Return
Bangladesh's Law Minister announced that former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will be arrested immediately upon her return to the country, without being given an opportunity to surrender. Hasina, who has stated she intends to return by December, has expressed fears for her life, saying she "may be killed or arrested." The Indian Centre confirmed it is examining Bangladesh's request to extradite Hasina. Bangladesh ICT has filed crimes against humanity charges against Hasina related to a 2013 crackdown.
