India raises Black Sea attacks on sailors with Ukraine
External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar has conveyed to Ukraine's Foreign Minister that attacks on commercial shipping and Indian seafarers in the Black Sea are "absolutely unacceptable." The seafarers' union reported that 13 Indian sailors are "trapped" on a ship amidst ongoing Black Sea attacks. India is in contact with Ukraine to ensure the safety of these seafarers. The disruptions in the Black Sea are also impacting India's search for sunflower oil alternatives.
